gotta catch ‘em all

“Gotta Catch ‘Em All” is the third installment in my “Introductions” painting series. Some fun features to find in this piece are: Mew floating above earth which also serves as Ash’s hat, the flying Pokemon squad, and the insane texture of the poke ball Gary is holding. The color choices I chose for this piece were very “Crayola,” evoking a simpler time of Saturday morning cartoons and coloring books. I doubled down by adding layers of colored pencil hiding in textures throughout the piece. “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” is one of the most iconic songs out there, and I hope it gets stuck in your head when viewing this piece.
