“Asterisk” is the sixth installment in my “Introductions” painting series. The opening sequence has a really eclectic style so it was challenge deciding what direction to go with for the color palette. As with most paintings I come in with a plan but throughout the process instinct ultimately takes over, especially with watercolor. Some fun features to find within this composition are: Ichigo’s battle scene on the bottom left, Kon being stepped on by the Karakura High students, Karin and Yuzu behind Ichigo, and a diagonal of color blocked portraits that include Chad, Ishida, Mizurio and more.
